Whether you have a to-do list the size of your arm and no time to do it or the pressure has upped it’s game at work, or you simply find your self feeling anxious about the littlest things… If you’re not careful, stress can leave you deflated, burnt out and extremely tired.
However, it can be a positive thing. It is a sign of working hard, it motivates and pushes you to complete tasks and make progress… You just have to figure out how to make stress your friend and keep it in moderation.
We have put together a few ideas on ways to reduce stress and increase energy, focus and productivity.

.
Have Some “Me” Time
Have a bath, curl up with a good book, watch some Netflix with cup of tea… It’s important to take some time for yourself and focus on you rather than what is stressing you out.
.
Accept The Stress And Welcome Change
Admitting you are stressed is not a bad thing. Once you realise that stress doesn’t make you weak and defeated and that it’s simply part of what makes us human, you can start to welcome changes and turn that stress into productivity.
.
Get Chatting
Don’t let stress and anxiety get out of hand… Ring a friend, family member, partner, or professional and ask for help, talk it through and recognise when things are getting on top of you. Hearing the voice of a good friend encouraging you to push forward, keep things in perspective and not give up is more often than not, the best remedy.
.
Break A Sweat
Studies show that exercising can decrease high-stress levels. Apart from helping to clear your mind and get some fresh air, breaking a sweat releases all those endorphins that make you feel amazing. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a stroll around the park, a yoga session or an intense gym class, getting active will release those feel-good hormones, fight stress and make you feel like you’ve accomplished something.
.
Keep A Diary
.
.
Putting your thoughts and worries down on paper can really help put things in perspective. Jot down all your worries, make lists and doodle away. This will help clear the mind and focus on what’s really making you stressed.

Diet Is Important
Eating healthily and mindfully is a natural way to reduce stress. Don’t be tempted to reach for those doughnuts when you’re stressed and tired, that sugar hit won’t last long and you’ll feel irritated with yourself afterwards. Make a cup of hot tea, munch on a healthy snack, fill up with leafy greens and you’ll be in a better mindset to tackle the day.
.
Get Enough Sleep
Not getting enough sleep contributes to high stress and anxiety levels. Make sure you get the hours your body needs to recuperate after each day. Get into the habit of turning off your phone and laptop at least half an hour before you drift off, this will help to calm the mind and make a good night’s sleep.
