South African-born Skye Corewijn, potter at Lazy Eye Ceramics and absolute whizz at the (potter’s) wheel is taking the world of ceramics by storm.
Based in Bethnal Green, London, Corewijn is the woman supplying some of London’s top restaurants with their plates and pots. Some of her current customers include The Clove Club, Typing Room, Bao Fitzrovia, Sager + Wilde and Lanark Coffee.
Skye is a great example of when hobbies become businesses. After moving to London and working in events logistics, she started attending a pottery course or two and eventually became a member of the Hoxton pottery school, Turning Earth.
Find Skye and her tableware at Druid Street Market in Bermondsey on the first and third Saturday of the month.
