Numero 74 have just opened their first signature venue: a unique concept right in the authentic heart of Ibiza island, Santa Gertrudis, and my oh my – does it look like the dream.
Welcoming everyone, locals and visitors alike, the space offers fresh food and drinks, regular events and workshops and, of course, stocks the labels gorgeous handmade interiors & fashion for little ones and grownups – as well as local artisans’ products, “an Artist residence where people can be seen and discover.”
To celebrate, we chat to Founder Tara about her favourite spots on the island…
WHERE TO STAY?
Can Marti in San Joan, a Finca (traditional countryside house) in full nature with a vegetable garden, animals in freedom and a natural pool. Wonderful place.
WHERE TO SWIM?
Cala Codolar, on the road to Cala Conta. A small cove with transparent water, you can swim along the cliff… I go there in the morning around 9 am, the sea is mine, there is nobody around. Pure luxury.
Es Cavallet, when autumn begins, it is magical, endless white sand and natural pools.
WHERE TO EAT?
La Paloma – San Lorenzo, in a field of orange trees. You can have lunch in the shade of trees and eat a foccacia stuffed with goat cheese and walnuts, it is delicious !
WHERE TO DRINK?
Euhhhh I only drink water !
THE MARKET, WHEN & WHERE?
San Joan Market on Sunday mornings. Adorable little craft market in the north of the island, I buy my breads there as well as my organic and healthy treats at Raices di Ibiza.
IDEAL SUNDAY IN IBIZA?
The little market in San Joan is a must for a Sunday walk, followed by a lunch at Cala Xuclar, grilled fish and goat cheese salad.
