You can wear whatever you like at Christmas, right? Does this mean just Christmas Day itself or the whole festive period? We’re going to go with the latter (this includes the big day itself, obviously). Which means, it’s totally and utterly acceptable to do the last of the school pick-ups before the holidays in anything from a full length sequinned ballgown to sparkly cardi’s and hot pink tops.
As a mum, I think it’s more important than ever to don those sequins when you feel them calling. This season is all about the children, their endless Christmas plays, parties and pressure to bake (yes, competing with “Susan’s mum let them make gingerbread houses with ALLLL the dolly mixture” is a real thing). More than ever, Christmas is a time for treating yourself to a few early Christmas pressies and turning carolling into the glamorous activity it has the potential to be.
