We don’t know about you, but for us, the day we see the John Lewis Christmas advert on the telly gives us the go-ahead to start getting excited about Christmas!
This year’s ad is about a little boy who slowly befriends a monster living under his bed. Filmed by Oscar-winning director Michel Gondry (the man behind Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), in true John Lewis style this two-minute ad is a bit of a tear jerker. The familiar song that you will inevitably start hearing all over the place is a cover of The Beatles classic Golden Slumbers, by British rock band Elbow. And if you really start to love this friendly monster you can visit him at Moz The Monster’s House- John Lewis Oxford Street.
John Lewis have joined forces with Barnardo’s, the UK’s largest and most established children’s charity, 10% of the price of every Moz The Monster mug and soft toy will be donated to Barnado’s to allow young carer’s to be children again.
