Crosstown Doughnuts Launch Vegan Range & Doughnut Coffee Bar

 

Starting out as a market stall on Leather Lane in 2014, founded by Adam Wills (originally from New Zealand) and JP Then (Australian), Crosstown Doughnuts have been in such a big jammy demand that they are now opening another permanent coffee and doughnut bar.

With sites already in Soho, Shoreditch and Camden and market stalls in Spitalfields E1, Kings Cross, Broadway Market and of course, Leather Lane, their fourth permanent site in Victoria will open on Monday 22nd May. I mean, what could be better than tucking into a delicious sourdough doughnut whilst sipping on a speciality coffee?

Everything is made in house, whether a jam, compote, glaze, filling or topping. Crosstown prides itself on utilising the best quality ingredients and specialising in sourdough doughnuts, handmade fresh 365 days a year.

And another thing…

Crosstown’s new vegan range of sourdough doughnuts launches today!   

The new range will sit alongside their current vegetarian selection to suit the growing demand for vegan alternatives. With the aim to make the doughnuts vegan-friendly without compromising on taste, texture or quality, they are crushing the misconception that vegan options aren’t as good as “the real thing” but every bit as delicious as their non-vegan counterparts.

Coconut butter and chia seeds have replaced butter and eggs in the dough, with oat milk, dark chocolate and silken tofu being used in the glazes and fillings. A different vegan flavour of the week will be available across all Crosstown locations each Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

For the initial phase of the launch, a trio of flavours will be released on rotation over the first three weekends. First up will be Crosstown’s chocolate truffle ring – vegan sourdough with a dark chocolate ganache and indulgent dark chocolate truffle filling – followed by their classic vanilla glazed ring and their best-selling cinnamon scroll. Crosstown are excited to introduce more flavours over the coming months.

Whether it’s a friend’s birthday, a business function, an engagement party or a work do… You name it, there’s always a reason to take a bite out of a freshly made doughnut. Crosstown deliver daily to offices, events & functions across London.

Crosstown ensure no cross-contamination between the vegan and vegetarian doughnuts; whilst made in the same bakery, all equipment and surfaces are sterilised before the vegan doughnuts are made and then fried in separate oil.
